About DeliveryDeets

DeliveryDeets answers one question for people who drive for a living: did the work pay, and how much do I owe?

What it is

You enter the figures from your own earnings screen, or upload a screenshot of it, plus the miles you traveled. DeliveryDeets works out what you kept after the tax you should set aside and, if you drive, fuel and insurance. For a car it also takes the standard mileage deduction and suggests what to save for upkeep. It shows every step so you can check it.

It works with any delivery or rideshare app. DoorDash, Uber Eats and Instacart are a few of the built-in ones, and you can add your own. One form adapts to each platform, and new platforms need no change to how the app works.

Who it is for

Drivers who earn money delivering with their own car, and riders and walkers who use a motorcycle, e-bike, bicycle or their feet, and want to know where they really stand. If you drive a car, mileage, fuel and insurance are what most of the math depends on. Everyone else counts the real costs they log. It is built for a phone at the end of a shift, in English and Spanish.

What it deliberately does not do

  • It does not link to your platform accounts. You copy your own figures, so you decide what goes in.
  • It does not track your location in the background. Miles come from your trip meter or odometer. The Use my location button is a one-time lookup you press yourself, to find your tax home.
  • It does not file your taxes. It estimates what to set aside and keeps your records organized. It does not prepare or submit a return.
  • It does not nag. Logging by typing, take-home and your charts stay free; a few extras are part of Plus, and nothing is hidden behind a surprise.

Estimates, not tax advice

Estimates only, not tax advice. Tax figures here are for planning and may not match what you owe. Check with a tax professional or the IRS before you file.
